يهدف البحث إلى دراسة التجارب العالمية والخليجية في تعزيز قيم المواطنة: المملکة العربية السعودية نموذجاً، وذلک في الوقت الراهن الذي تزايدت فيه أهمية تعزيز قيم المواطنة في تحقيق الوحدة الوطنية، والذي يعد مطلباً أساسياً في تحقيق أمن المجتمع ومواجهة التحديات العالمية والإقليمية التي تواجه المملکة، ويشتمل البحث عدة مباحث أولها: ماهية المواطنة من حيث مفهومها، والأسس والعناصر التي تقوم عليها، والثاني: بيان أهم التجارب العالمية في تعزيز قيم المواطنة، ومنها: تجارب ألمانيا، واليابان، والصين، والثالث: تناول تجربة المملکة العربية السعودية کنموذج لتجارب الدول الخليجية في تعزيز قيم المواطنة، ويتناول الرابع مستقبل الهوية الوطنية السعودية في ضوء التحديات العالمية والإقليمية الراهنة، وقد خلص البحث إلى أن تعزيز قيم المواطنة يحتاج إلى إزالة اللبس والغموض التي يکتنف المفاهيم المصاحبة للمواطنة بما يعزز فهم الآخر، وقيم الاعتزاز بالوطن، والدفاع عنه من کل ما يهدد أمنه واستقراره، وذلک بما يتماشى مع التزام المملکة بمواثيق حقوق الإنسان المعترف بها عالمياً، والاستفادة من التجارب العالمية في تعزيز قيم المواطنة بالمملکة من خلال تناول الأساليب الفاعلة في تعزيز هذه القيم، والدور التربوي للمؤسسات المجتمعية.
The research aims to study global and Gulf experiences in promoting citizenship values: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a model. Nowadays, promoting citizenship values is important to achieve ​​ national unity, which is a basic requirement to achieve community security and to confront global and regional challenges facing KSA. The research includes several subjects. First: a definition of citizenship in terms of its conception, and the foundations and the elements on which it is based. Second: a clarification of the most important global experiences in promoting ​​ citizenship values, including: experiences of Germany, Japan, and China. Third: a discussion of the experience of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a model for the experiences of the Gulf countries in promoting citizenship values. Fourth: ac discussion of the future of Saudi national identity in the light of the current global and regional challenges. The research concluded that promoting citizenship values needs removing confusion and ambiguity surrounding the concepts associated with citizenship in such a manner that enhances understanding of the other, as well as values ​​of national pride, defending the homeland against anything that threatens its security and stability. All shall be in line with the KSA's commitment to internationally-recognized human rights covenants. Further, the research concludes that it is necessary to benefit from global experiences in promoting citizenship values ​​in KSA by addressing the effective methods in promoting these values, and the educational role of the community institutions.
