يهدف البحث إلى إعادة النظر في مقدمات علم مقاصد الشريعة من حيث الموضوع والقضايا التي تختص به وما يلحق بذلك من مسارات البحث الممكنة فيه، وذلك من خلال الإسهام في ترتيب مادة هذا العلم وتقديم رؤية لجمع شتات المحاور الموضوعية المتعلقة بنظرية مقاصد الشريعة التي يصدق عليها أنها تقع ضمن حدوده، وذلك نظرا لتفاوت أغلب مَنْ كتب في المقاصد في استيعاب المسائل والقضايا التي ينبغي إدراجها تحت موضوع علم مقاصد الشريعة، وقد توصل البحث لأهمية تنقيح مادة مقاصد الشريعة بما يتحدد بملاحظة مؤشرين أساسيين: الأول: تأطير الموضوعات المقاصدية وفق المرجعية الأصولية، ونظم مسائله وقضاياه بما يخدم موضوع أصول الفقه وثمرته، والثاني: توسيع إطار النظر المقاصدي بكل ما يتعلق بدراسة المعاني الكلية وملاحظة العلل والغايات المؤثرة في فهم الخطاب واستنباط الأحكام، وفي سبيل ذلك؛ اجتهد البحث في توسيع مدارك الدارسين والباحثين بتحديد موضوع علم المقاصد وتنويع جهات النظر فيه بما يشمل البحث عن علل وغايات التشريع المؤثرة في استنباط الحكم الشرعي استقلالا، أو فهم الدليل وإعماله، أو تحقيق المناط والتنزيل على الواقع، أو الترجيح عند التعارض والتزاحم، وخلص البحث إلى تفصيل المباحث والقضايا المقاصدية في ثلاثة عشر مبحثا تتنوّع بين عدة أصناف مقدمات اصطلاحية، وقضايا تاريخية، ومسائل في العلاقات والتداخل والتأثير، وقضايا تأسيسية تأصيلية، ومباحث تنظيمية لضبط عملية الاجتهاد المقاصدي، وكذلك؛ تفصيل المسالك والمجالات التي تصلح لتـسجيل موضوعات ودراسات بحثية تدخل في إطار علم مقاصد الشريعة فيما يقارب (ثلاثة وثلاثين) مجالا لتسجيل أفكار بحثية، لتوسيع آفاق الباحثين والمشتغلين بالبحث المقاصدي.
 
This research aims to revisit the foundations of the science of Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah in terms of its subject matter and the issues it encompasses, along with the potential research paths related to it. The study contributes by organizing the content of this discipline and presenting a vision to unify the diverse thematic elements associated with the theory of Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah-elements that rightfully fall within its domain. This necessity arises from the varying levels of comprehensiveness demonstrated by most writers on Maqāṣid in their inclusion of issues and topics that should be considered under the subject of Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah. The research identifies the need to refine the material of Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah based on two main indicators: Framing Maqāṣid-related topics according to the methodology of Uṣūl al-Fiqh, structuring its issues in a manner that serves the subject and objective of Uṣūl al-Fiqh. Expanding the scope of Maqāṣid-oriented analysis to include all studies related to overarching meanings and the consideration of causes and objectives that influence the understanding of revelation and the derivation of rulings. To that end, the study endeavors to broaden the horizons of students and researchers by defining the subject of Maqāṣid and diversifying its perspectives to include the investigation of legislative causes and objectives that affect the independent derivation of rulings, the understanding and application of evidence, the realization of context and implementation in reality, and preference in cases of conflict and overlap. The research concludes by detailing the fields and issues of Maqāṣid across thirteen areas, categorized into various types: terminological introductions, historical matters, issues of relationships, overlap and influence, foundational and principled matters, and organizational discussions to regulate the process of Maqāṣid-based ijtihād. Additionally, the study outlines the methods and domains suitable for registering topics and research studies within the scope of the science of Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah, listing approximately thirty-three fields for potential research ideas to expand the perspectives of researchers engaged in Maqāṣid studies.
